It’s what the team has been working toward all year, and now the University of Evansville softball team has to win or go home, as the eighth-seeded Purple Aces (18-33, 10-16) face fifth-seeded Missouri State (18-30, 13-12) in the first game of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.

OMAHA, Neb.—University of Evansville softball senior Jamie Lindauer capped off her final regular-season game in a big way, as her second home run of the year helped push the Aces (18-33, 10-16) to a 3-1 victory over Creighton (33-21, 18-7) on Sunday at the CU Sports Complex.

However, the Aces’ (17-33, 9-16) five-run seventh inning fell just short of a comeback, as Creighton (33-20, 18-6) took the second half of Saturday 8-6 at the CU Sports Complex.

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—With scoring a minimum in the final game between the University of Evansville softball team and Drake, pitching and defense became key in the contest, as the Aces (17-31, 9-14) secured the series over the Bulldogs (30-18, 11-11) 2-0 on Sunday at James and Dorothy Cooper Stadium.
