UE Cross Country To Host Two Meets Once Again In 2010
The University of Evansville cross country program will once again host a pair of meets during the 2010 cross country season, as the Purple Aces will host the annual Mid-America Opener and UE Invitational on Saturday, September 4 and Saturday, October 16 at the UE Cross Country Course located at 20404 Barton Road in Evansville.

Cross Country Adds Two More To 2010 Roster
Des Moines, Iowa all-state runner Andrew Barrett (Theodore Roosevelt H.S.) and Frankfort, Indiana running standout Kelby Jenkins (Frankfort H.S.) have both signed National Letters of Intent to run cross country at the University of Evansville, head coach Don Walters announced on Thursday.  Barrett and Jenkins will join the UE men’s and women’s cross country teams this fall.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.—University of Evansville junior Ryan Witters (Evansville, Ind./Memorial) and freshman Cody Stein (Evanston, Ind./Heritage Hills) both posted first-place finishes at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Track Meet in Terre Haute this weekend, as the Purple Aces had a strong showing in their first outdoor track meet of the spring season.
