Senior Brittany Herald Named All-Conference

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Evansville senior Brittany Herald was named to the first team of the Missouri Valley All-Conference team for her success during the regular season for Evansville softball.

The Old Hickory, Tenn. native led the league in hitting during the regular season at .400 while also leading in slugging percentage (.681) and on-base percentage (.477). She also ranks in the top ten in runs scored (32), hits (55), RBI (34), home runs (10), total bases (96), and walks (20). Herald is also a solid defensive player at first base tallying 375 putouts this season, the second most in the MVC.

Herald tied the career record for home runs at UE of 23 with her three-run shot in Thursday’s tournament game against Missouri State. Herald is no stranger to the record books finishing her career in the top-five in several categories. She is the new career leader with a .376 batting average, breaking the previous record of .358 set by Jessica Huff (’98-01). She holds the best slugging percentage (.631) and on-base percentage (.481) at UE. Herald also holds the second-best fielding percentage of .988 in her three years.
