I am trying to find a piece of the old basketball floor that was used in Roberts Municipal Stadium for a friend for Christmas. Do you know if that is possible and whom I could contact?

The City of Evansville held an auction earlier this fall at which time the basketball floor was purchased. My understanding is that it is going to be utilized as a basketball court with a youth sports program so there will be no opportunity to obtain part of the court.

With the Fifth Third Practice Facility up and running, are there plans to make anymore upgrades to the on-campus athletics facilities?

We are always working on upgrades to our facilities. During the past year, we have achieved updates to our Volleyball facility, and are working on improvements for our Golf team. There is a priority list provided to us by the Coaches as to a variety of needs. While I do not believe there will be any immediate major project, I do believe there will be ongoing upgrades funded by our generous fans and donors.

We have heard that the Deaconess event during the Coaches vs. Cancer weekend was a great success for the local charities, was there a final update as to the success of the donations?

Coaches vs. Cancer was very successful. We teamed with Deaconess Hospital and there were three different charities that benefitted from sales related to the three game series. UE works hard to partner with sponsors and non-profit organizations in our community and this is one example of that. Our Student/Athletes volunteered over 3,000 hours last year as well which is another thing we are very proud of!
