EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- University of Evansville women's soccer goalkeeper Chaviel Harrison was recognized in a ceremony on Wednesday night for becoming the program's all-time saves leader. Harrison tallied 382 saves in her four-year career, surpassing the previous mark of 357 set by Misty Long in 1996.
The Murrieta, Calif., native established the new mark on August 24, when she collected a season-high 10 saves in a match against Saint Louis. The senior keeper finished the season with 33 saves.
In addition to her career saves record, Harrison also holds the Purple Aces' single-season record with 136 saves, a mark she set during her junior campaign by breaking her own record of 116 saves that she made as a sophomore. That season, Harrison ranked fifith in the country in saves.
