The Aces, who are enjoying their best season since 2013 with an 8-6-2 overall record, came from behind twice this past Saturday on the way to picking up a 4-3 victory at Drake. It gave UE a second straight win on the road and combined with the team's 1-1 draw against Loyola earlier this month, its put the Aces on a three-match unbeaten run entering Tuesday.
Lipscomb, meanwhile, will be hoping to continue a good run of its own. The Bisons are 8-5-1 on the year and have won three consecutive matches, punctuated by a 4-1 win at NJIT on Saturday.
UE has been able to hang its hat on a number of performers over the three-match stretch, highlighted by Jared Robinson, who sandwiched his assist at Belmont with goals against Loyola and at Drake. The senior out of Powell, Ohio, has six goals this year, shattering his previous best single-season total.
The only other senior on the roster has also been playing at a high level in recent weeks. Ryan Koenig, who scored his first career goal earlier this year, has found the net in each of the past two matches, and Ian McGrath, who has been a talismanic figure for the Aces this season, bagged a pair of goals on Saturday to take his team-best total up to eight.
Defensively, the Aces would undoubtedly hope to return to the form that helped the team log a shutout last Tuesday at Belmont. In all, the defense has combined for five clean sheets this year, the most since the 2012 season.
Kickoff on Tuesday is slated for 7 p.m.
