The Aces (1-4-1) put an end to a three-match losing streak last time out, battling to a scoreless draw with Southeast Missouri last Sunday, and the team will have its work cut out for it Thursday evening as the Billikens enter with a 4-1-0 record. Illinois, on the other hand, will be looking to put the brakes on a four-match slide. The Illini started off the season with shutout victories over Morehead State and Illinois State, but the team is coming off of losses at TCU and Texas A&M.

If the Aces are to be successful, they'll likely be looking for a bit more bite at the front of the attack. While Bronwyn Boswell has been off to a hot start, scoring four goals over the first six matches, the rest of the team as combined for just two. However, the chances for the squad have been plentiful as the team has put 32 of its 67 shots on the year on target.

Boswell, a senior out of Frisco, Texas, is just one goal away from moving into a tie for ninth on UE's all-time scoring list. She's tallied 18 for her career.

Defensively, the Aces have put in some stout performances this season, led in part by senior netminder Whitney Biggs, who has two clean sheets. The Bloomington, Ind., product and former Missouri Valley Tournament MVP has been especially impressive at home, logging four shutouts over the course of her last five matches at McCutchan Stadium.

Kickoff on Thursday is scheduled for 7 p.m., and Sunday's contest at Illinois is set for a 1 p.m. start.
