The University of Evansville men's basketball team will host UIC on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7:05 CST in an ESPN Bracketbusters game. Pairings were announced Monday. UIC played two Missouri Valley Conference teams in November–losing at home to Illinois State 69-65, and at Southern Illinois 74-64. Since the inception of Bracketbusters in 2003, MVC teams are 40-23. UE’s record in the event is 3-3, with wins the past three years over Samford, Eastern Illinois and Miami of Ohio. MVC teams Northern Iowa, Wichita State and Missouri State will be featured in games on the ESPN family of networks that weekend as part of Bracketbusters. The event brings together 98 teams from 14 conferences throughout the country for 49 non-conference games on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20.
