All members of the public are invited to attend the memorial service on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 12 noon CST at Neu Chapel on the University of Evansville campus.  The service will honor the 29 people who perished in the Dec. 13, 1977 airplane crash involving the University of Evansville basketball team.

University of Evansville chaplain Brian Erickson will lead the ceremony.  Speakers will include University of Evansville President Dr. Stephen Jennings, J.T. Wilson, a 1977 UE graduate who is now chaplain at DePauw University, and Marty Simmons, head basketball coach at the University of Evansville.  Dr. Jennings and former University of Evansville President Dr. Wallace Graves will present a wreath at Memorial Plaza following the service inside Neu Chapel.
