University of Evansville Women’s Tennis Team had another strong showing at the second day of the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Tennis Championships. Freshman Carolyn Caire paced the Aces with a 5-7,7-5, 6-1 win over Illinois State’s Carmen Peters to advance into the flight six finals tomorrow. Juniors Kate Chybowski/Theadora Kotsiou placed third in flight 1 doubles. The team of Ashton Schwerin and Aleksandra Dzakula posted a 2-0 record in flight 2 doubles today and the doubles team of and Pin Sorensen/Carolyn Caire will battle for 3rd place in flight 3 tomorrow.
Aces winning singles matches were Theadora Kotsiou (Flight 2), Ashton Schwerin (Flight 3), Aleksandra Dzakula (Flight 4), Pin Sorensen (Flight 5), and Carolyn Caire (Flight 6).
The final day of matches will start at 9am at Wesselman Tennis Complex.
