INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Emily Johnson's 78 led the University of Evansville Monday in the first of two rounds at the Butler Fall Invitational at Fall Creek Golf Course. The final 18 holes are Tuesday.
Johnson is tied for 16th in the 87-player tournament. Her round of 78 puts her one stroke ahead of teammates Lauren Ellerman and Maggie Wood. The Aces are ninth out of 14 in the team standings at 318. Eastern Illinois leads at 307, and Angela Gauck of Marian College is the tournament leader after shooting 71 in the opening round.
