Denver Holmes has been selected as this week's Vectren Student-Athlete of the week. He matched his career high with 23 points Wednesday against Drake, and added 18 points Saturday at Bradley. He was 15 for 15 at the free throw line last week. By leading the Aces in scoring in both games last week, Denver has now been UE's top scorer six times in the 10 games since Dec. 22. Holmes had never led Evansville in scoring in any of his 34 games prior to Dec. 22. He's averaging 10.9 points this season after averaging 2.2 as a freshman.
