WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.-- Three University of Evansville divers completed day one of NCAA Zone C Championships at Purdue University on Friday.

"The divers did really good," said Evansville diving coach Eric Blevins. "They were really nervous, but they pushed through it really well. Tomorrow is some of their best events, so we are looking to have a better day tomorrow."

Freshman Sadie Wells finished 41st in the one-meter boards while junior Jennifer Childers placed 43rd. Junior Andy Balczo recorded a 34th-place finish on the three-meter boards.

The competition resumes Saturday with men on the three meter and women on the three meter. Action begins at 12 central time and live video can be found one Purdue's athletic site.
