EVANVILLE, Ind. –  University of Evansville diver Mallet Reid has been named this week’s Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the conference office today.
 
Reid, a sophomore from Hobbs, N.M., receives award after sweeping the diving events this weekend at the Delta State Christmas Invitational, where he notched two first place finishes and a pair of career best times to help Evansville to a second place overall finish.
 
The award marks the first MAC accolade of Reid’s career as he becomes the second Purple Ace to be named the MAC Swimmer of the Week this season after teammate Alex Seward took the title on the week of October 26.
