With the 2012-13 women’s basketball season rapidly approaching, the women’s basketball staff and players wanted to give the fans a more personal and insider’s look into the upcoming season.  With that mission in mind, GoPurpleAces.com will sit down with a women’s basketball player periodically throughout the season and pose 10 questions to one of the Aces’ women’s basketball players to give you a glimpse inside the program. 

For the second installment of “10 Questions With…”, senior guard Taylor Ware took her shot at the same questions that were posed to fellow senior guard Meagan Collins and came up with some very different answers.
 
Question 1:
 The 2012-13 Aces are loaded with senior leadership, as you are one of four seniors on the squad.  What are the expectations and goals for the upcoming season?
 
Every day, we expect every player to approach the day with a sense of urgency, playing hard and giving everything they have every minute they are on the court. We believe with this mentality we will be able to reach our goal of becoming MVC Champs.
 
Question 2:
On or off the court, what is the best advice that you have been given?
 
My dad used to tell me all the time “Know who you are”. If you know who you are and what you stand for you, you’ll be better prepared for a lot of the things life throws at you.
 
Question 3:
Do you have a saying or motto that you live your life by?
 
“Work hard in everything you do.” Otherwise what’s the point?
 
Question 4:
Since you have now had three years to explore the city of Evansville, what are some of your favorite places to visit and are there any great spots that you know of that some people have not heard of before?
 
I always like going down to the river. I find it very peaceful.
 
Question 5:
What is your favorite dessert?
 
Cold Stone’s chocolate cake batter with Oreos and cookie dough
 
Question 6:
If you could travel to one destination in your lifetime where would it be?
 
Venice, Italy. I have always been fascinated with the canals and one day I want to take a ride across the Grand Canal in a gondola.
 
Question 7:
Do you speak any other languages and if not, if you could learn one, what would it be?
 
I would want to learn Spanish.
 
Question 8:
What was the worst outfit that your mom dressed you in?
 
I can’t think of anything in particular, but I’m sure there is a picture of me somewhere wearing something completely ridiculous.

Do you have any pregame rituals?

Listening to music and thinking about what I need to do in the game.

So far, what has been your best moment as a Purple Ace?

Being named a Second Team MVC Scholar-Athlete.
