ST. LOUIS – University of Evansville men’s soccer player Nick Schroeder was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team in an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon,
 
Schroeder, who was an All-MVC Second Team selection, recorded seven points on three goals and one assist in his sophomore campaign.  The Brighton, Mich., native scored five of his seven points in MVC matches and scored both goals for the Purple Aces in their 2-0 victory at Missouri State.
 
Off the pitch, Schroeder is an exercise science major, boasts a 3.97 grade point average (GPA) and was named a Heritage Federal Credit Union Academic Community Award recipient.
 
Schroeder helped UE to a 9-8-1 overall record and a 3-2-1 mark in the Valley.
