FULL NSCAA RELEASE
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer program was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for their academic achievements Thursday afternoon, as the Purple Aces earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.
Evansville posted a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.29 for the 2012-13 academic year under head coach
Krista McKendree. The Aces were one of 593 women's programs across all divisions of the NCAA to garner the award, which is presented to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
UE was one of 186 schools to have both its men's and women's soccer programs honored, as the Evansville men's team registered a 3.23 GPA under head coach
Mike Jacobs.
Thursday's honor marked the ninth time that the Aces have garnered the annual academic accolade.
