Full NABC Honors Court Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two-time Missouri Valley Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year
Colt Ryan continued to earn academic accolades as he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2012-13 Honors Court in a release by the association.
In order to receive the honor, the student-athlete must meet four criteria including: academically a junior or senior and a varsity player, cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2012-13 academic year, must have one year at their current institution and must be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA Division I or II institution.
Ryan was one of more than 700 student-athletes from 287 college/universities to receive recognition. He also was honored by the NABC last season. The accounting major finished with a 3.43 GPA in his time at UE while setting the program's all-time scoring record at 2,279.
