EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's basketball team will be making its fifth postseason appearance in the last seven years as the Purple Aces have reached a formal agreement to play in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament beginning next week.

Evansville's opening game will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at the Ford Center with a 7 p.m. tip.  The opening round opponent will be announced after 7 p.m. on Sunday evening.  Log on to GoPurpleAces.com or the Aces' Facebook and Twitter accounts for the announcement of Wednesday's opponent.

Tickets are $15 for all seats while children under the age of 17 are just $5.  Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday at the Carson Center.  Season ticket holders have until Saturday at 3 p.m. to guarantee their usual seats.  After that, all seats will be available for public purchase.  Ticket orders will be taken Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-3.  No tickets will be available for pickup until Monday at 9 a.m.

The Carson Center Ticket Office will be the only outlet that ticket orders will be taken until Monday morning.  Beginning at 10 a.m. that day, fans can purchase them at the Ford Center or at TicketMaster.com.  Downtown parking garages will be open for the event and will cost $5 for everyone.

This marks the fifth postseason appearance in the last seven years and is also the third trip to the CIT.  Two years ago, the Aces advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.  In an exciting run, Colt Ryan set the all-time school scoring record as the team earned wins over Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky and Canisius.

Prior to 2013, Evansville also played in the event in 2009, taking on Belmont at Roberts Stadium.
