With the 2016-17 athletic season approaching, the University of Evansville Athletic Department has announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming fall campaign. The promotional slate features 17 dates spanning men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball, and will include double-point days for the Student Rewards program, giveaway items, club nights and more.
The first promotion of the season will take place Aug. 26, when double points will be awarded for Student Rewards participants and free food will be provided for the first 100 students in attendance at the UE women's soccer regular-season opener against Cincinnati. On Sept. 4, Evansville women's soccer will host Southeast Missouri State and conduct a fundraiser for Field of Dreams Uganda, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide hope for the orphaned and vulnerable children of Uganda through the vehicles of soccer and education. Other promotional dates during the women's soccer season include Senior Day and Student Rewards double points (Sept. 18) and the annual Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Match (Oct. 2), where orange t-shirts will be given to the first 100 fans in attendance.
Promotions for the men's soccer season begin Sept. 9 during the ProRehab Aces Classic, when double points will be awarded for Student Rewards participants for the Aces' home opener against Portland. The men's soccer team will host a pair of Club Soccer Day matches Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 and another Student Rewards double points opportunity, along with free food for the first 100 students, will be available when UE hosts Marshall on Sept. 28. The men's soccer promotional schedule wraps up with Homecoming (Oct. 15), Two Dollar Tuesday, where select concession items will be available for $2 (Oct. 25) and Senior Night (Nov. 5).
The UE volleyball team will have a total of six promotional dates, beginning with a Student Rewards double points opportunity for the Aces home opener Sept. 5 against Southeast Missouri State. Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night will be held Sept. 24 and the first 100 fans in attendance to the Oct. 7 match vs. Illinois State will receive purple t-shirts as part of a Purple Out. Other volleyball promotions include a Halloween Costume Contest and Student Rewards double points (Oct. 29), High School Team Night (Nov. 11) and Club and Camp Night (Nov. 19).
