ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Seniors Bronwyn Boswell and Emily Richardson were tabbed for successful final campaigns with the University of Evansville women's soccer team, as the Missouri Valley Conference named the duo to its all-conference preseason team on Monday.
 
Boswell and Richardson, who each earned first team all-league honors last season, helped the Purple Aces to an MVC tournament crown in 2015 as UE made its return to the NCAA Tournament. Both players played in all 20 matches last season, with Boswell posting a team-best three goals to go along with a pair of assists. Richardson, meanwhile, helped UE post six shutouts on the year.
 
In the preseason poll, UE picked up a pair of first place votes on the way to finishing third. Drake was picked to win the league after finishing first a year ago. Both Loyola and Missouri State each earned a first-place vote and were picked second and fifth, respectively. Illinois State was chosen fourth, and Northern Iowa and Indiana State rounded out the poll.
 
The UE women's soccer season will begin later this week as the Purple Aces will hit the road for matches at Xavier on Friday evening and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday afternoon.
