Jim Byers Video  -  Give to the Coach Jim Byers Scholarship Fund

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – On February 20 of this year, Jim Byers Day was held at the Ford Center as the University of Evansville men's basketball team took on Southern Illinois.  One of the highlights of that event was a video about the impact Coach Byers had on those around him.
 
Today, we are proud to share the thoughts of some of his closest friends.  Click on the link above to view the presentation.  A photo gallery of Byers through the years will also be posted on social media.
 
In memory of Coach Byers, the department has announced that all 14 of its sports teams will wear patches on their uniforms during competition in 2016-17.  The patch will be a black circle with the initials "JB" on them in white letters.
 
Today from 3-8 p.m., a viewing will take place at Alexander East Chapel on Lincoln Avenue.  A second viewing will be tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bethlehem United Church of Christ on Oak Hill Road.  The funeral will follow that second visitation.
