The 2016-17 University of Evansville women's basketball schedule has been finalized with the release of the Missouri Valley Conference slate on Tuesday.
The Purple Aces, who will start the season on November 12 against Cleveland State at the Ford Center, will begin conference play just before the new year, playing host to Indiana State on Dec. 30, which kicks off a home-heavy start to the league season as UE will play five of its first seven games in Evansville.
Following a New Year's Day showdown Loyola, the Aces will spend the second weekend in Iowa for contests against Drake and Northern Iowa before returning home for a three-game stand against Missouri State, Wichita State and Southern Illinois. The first half of the league season come to a close at the end of January with trips to Illinois State and Bradley.
Home games against Drake and UNI will get things started in February before UE is slated to make its return visits to Wichita State, Missouri State and Southern Illinois. Bradley and Illinois State will close out the home slate on Feb. 24 and 26, and the regular season will conclude a week later at Loyola and Indiana State.
Following the regular season, the Aces will make their return to Hoops in the Heartland, which will once again be hosted in Moline, Ill. The conference championship event will begin on March 9 and conclude three days later.
