"I'm very happy with the way we performed today," said head coach Rickey Perkins. "The student-athletes have been working very hard in the weight room and the pool, sacrificing everything for the sport and for the team. Academics are going very well too. I'm thankful for what they've done so far, we're ahead of where we were last year at this time. The future is bright, we just have to stay focused and do the little things correctly over and over. If we can continue to do that, it's going to be a great season."
