EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Following back-to-back wins, the University of Evansville men's soccer team hits the midway point of a three-match homestand when the Purple Aces host Drake on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
Evansville (8-7-1, 2-3-1 MVC) opened the week with a 2-1 overtime victory over MVC foe Central Arkansas on Tuesday night. The Aces fell behind 1-0 early, but battled back to tie the match on a goal by sophomore forward Ben Weber in the 63rd minute. In overtime, Evansville won the match with a golden goal by senior midfielder Ian McGrath with eight seconds left in the first overtime period.

Game Notes
Saturday's match marks the 21st all-time meeting between Drake and Evansville with the Bulldogs holding a 15-13-2 advantage in the series. The Aces and Bulldgos met just one week ago when Evansville earned a 1-0 victory at Drake on a goal in the 65th minute by senior midfielder Ian McGrath. The last win for the Bulldogs came on September 26, 2015 when Drake defeated the Aces, 3-1, at Arad McCutchan Stadium. Drake enters the weekend with a 4-10-1 overall record and a 1-4-1 mark in the Missouri Valley Conference and enjoyed a week off after taking on the Aces last Saturday.
