EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team wraps-up regular season play on Saturday night on the road at Loyola at 7 p.m. in Chicago, Illinois.
Evansville (9-8-1, 2-4-1 MVC) heads into the regular season finale after winning three of its last four matches and fresh-off a 2-1 victory over Northern Kentucky on Tuesday night. The Aces scored two early goals before the Norse got within one at the half. In the second half, Evansville was able to hold off NKU for the 2-1 victory.

Saturday's match marks the 21st all-time meeting between the two sides with the Aces owning a 17-2-1 advantage in the series. In the last meeting, the Ramblers defeated the Aces, 3-0, on homecoming at Arad McCutchan Stadium on October 14. The last win in the series for the Purple Aces came on November 1, 2014 when Evansville captured a 2-1 victory at Arad McCutchan Stadium. Loyola enters the matchup with a 3-3-1 MVC mark and a 7-6-3 overall record and is currently on a three-match winning streak in the MVC.
This weekend's match features plenty on the line as both Evansville and Loyola are battling for MVC Tournament seeding. If the Aces win and either Drake or Valparaiso lose, Evansville avoids Tuesday's opening round matchup. Loyola would avoid the opening round match as long as it does not lose to UE and Drake and Valpo both do not win.
