EVANSVILLE - Following the 1-0 victory over Marshall on Sunday for the University of Evansville men's soccer team,
senior midfielder Ian McGrath received national recognition for his game-winning goal from midfield.
In the 39th minute, McGrath controlled the ball just beyond midfield and noticed the Marshall keeper off his line. McGrath dribbled right and launched a shot from the midfield stripe that sailed over the keeper's head and into the back of the net.
McGrath's long-range strike was featured as the No. 8 play on ESPN's SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays Sunday evening and Monday morning.
