MAC Championship Information
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the next four days, the Purple Aces men's swimming and diving team will be participating in the Mid-America Conference Championship in Oxford, Ohio.

Last year, the University of Evansville finished in seventh place, putting up several solid performances. Sophomore Brandt Hudson, Blake Wheeler, junior Jared Sutphin and sophomore Zack Sagan clocked in a 6:46.70 for 6
th place, 8 seconds faster than 7
th place Ball State and a 9 second improvement from the 2016 Evansville relay performance. Junior diver Miguel Marcano led the Aces on the boards with a 16
th place finish in the 1-Meter with a final score of 200.95 to earn points for Evansville.

Dan O'Brien and Prescott Marcy kicked the evening off with the 100 butterfly consolation final. O'Brien took 12
th place with a final time of 49.51. Marcy followed in 14
th with a season best 50.22. O'Brien's morning preliminary finish of 49.43 was a season best.
Hudson came next for the Aces. His final 200 freestyle time of 1:41.32 was good for 15
th place.
Everett Plocek represented Evansville in the 100 breaststroke consolation final. He clocked in a 56.61 for 15
th place.

Preliminary rounds will begin Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, while finals begin starting Wednesday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
