EVANSVILLE, Ind. - With their spring break trip to Florida Gulf Coast University in the rear-view mirror, the University of Evansville baseball team is headed to the Hawkeye State this weekend for a three-game series against Iowa beginning Saturday afternoon.

Game Notes
The Purple Aces (5-8) got swept out of Fort Myers by FGCU in Fort Myers last weekend. UE continues to be paced at the plate by sophomore infielder Troy Beilsmith, who is batting a team-high .348 with a .630 slugging percentage. Kenton Crews continues to climb the batting charts as well, hitting at a cool .300 clip.
Iowa (8-6) comes into this weekend's set scuffling a bit as well, dropping three straight to UNLV in Las Vegas last weekend. The Hawkeyes then fell to Missouri State in a mid-week match-up, 8-3.
Evansville head coach Wes Carroll will switch his pitching rotation around for this weekend beginning with freshman right-hander Jace Burke, who will face off against Iowa southpaw Nick Allgeyer. in game one of a doubleheader Saturday. Game two will feature sophomore right-hander Adam Lukas, making his first start of the season. He'll be opposed by righty Brady Schanuel. The series finale on Sunday will see junior right hander Austin Allinger squaring off against RHP Cole McDonald.
