OWENSBORO, Ky. - After two weekends away from competition, the University of Evansville men's and women's track and field teams make the short trip to Owensboro, Ky. to compete in the Kentucky Wesleyan Panther Twilight Track and Field Invitational on Friday night.
The Purple Aces last competed at the Stan Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 17 as both Evansville's men;s and women's teams earned four duals victories. Highlighting the day was the first individual event victory for the Aces since at least 1985 with Ian Albert's victory in the men's pole vault competition. In the invitational, Evansville set five program records with four coming on the women's side and the Aces' men breaking one program record.
Friday marks the first Kentucky Wesleyan Panther Twilight Track and Field Invitational hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College will be held at the Owensboro Track and Field Complex. The meet opens at 3:30 p.m. with women's shot put which is followed by the men's shot put competition. Events on the track begin at 4:30 p.m. with the women's 4x100 meter relay followed by the men's 4x100 meter relay.Â
