Athletics Hall of Fame
Now, in its 36th year, the University of Evansville Athletics Hall of Fame honors those who have built the Aces' tradition of success.
The University of Evansville recognizes Dr. Millard Harmon for his support of the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Banquet in memory of his father, Dr. John Harmon, who coached at Evansville College and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974.
Dr. John Harmon came to Evansville College in 1923 as Director of Athletics, and enjoyed outstanding success coaching all of Evansville College's sports. He later earned the first doctoral degree ever bestowed by Indiana University in Health and Physical Education. Dr. Harmon became Director of Athletics at Boston University in 1932, and created a doctoral program there which would eventually supply athletics directors for dozens of colleges and universities.
The University would also like to acknowledge Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harper, and the late Roy Wyttenbach, for their support of the University of Evansville Athletics Hall of Fame.
