University of Evansville swimmer Michea Reinitz has been selected as UE’s Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week after her performances at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships this past weekend.

The freshman, who had one of the top times in the MVC in the 100 fly going into the championship meet, finished third in the 100 fly, fourth in the 50 free and seventh in the 200 fly. Reinitz also helped break an eight-year-old school record in the 200 free relay with a team time of 1:36.53.

At the conclusion of the weekend, Reinitz was the only Purple Ace named to the All-MVC First Team for her efforts this season.
