Ladd Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

EVANSVILLE, Ind. –
University of Evansville junior Mallory Ladd was honored by the Missouri Valley Conference for her efforts both on the court and in the classroom, as she was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team in an announcement made by the league office Tuesday morning.
 
Ladd is Evansville's second-leading scoring at 11.7 points per game and ranks second in the Valley in rebounding at 9.3 boards per contest.  The Evansville native also ranks second on the team with a 42.9 shooting percentage and has blocked a team-high 23 shots this season.  In addition, the junior forward has scored in double figures 14 times this season with eight double-doubles.
 
As a criminal justice major, Ladd boasts a 3.34 cumulated grade-point average (GPA) and was one of 18 players selected to an MVC Scholar-Athlete squad.
 
Ladd and the Purple Aces open MVC Tournament play Friday, March 14, at 2:37 p.m., when they play No. 5 seed Drake at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
