EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The women's swimming and diving squad are back on the road on Saturday at Arkansas Little Rock, slated for a 1 p.m. start.
 
The team had a successful weekend in northern Indiana with a decisive victory over Valparaiso.
 
The women took a victory in every single event, including both the 400 Freestyle and 400 Medley Relays. Michaela Kent took top honors in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.22 followed by teammates Sam Gowdy and Taylor Davidson for an event sweep.
 
Danielle Freeman led the way in the 50 free at at 24.12, along with Kent and freshman Emma Hennessy for yet another event sweep. Additionally, Freeman took the 100 freestyle with a 53.38, followed by teammate Kristy Kupfer.
 
Aine Scholand won both distance events, teaming up with Ashton Adams in second place and Megan Schremp in third for another sweep in the 500 freestyle.
 
Additional victories came for the women in the form of junior Kayla Aitken in the 100 Butterfly with a 1:01.90, and Alaina Sylvester in the 100 Breaststroke, touching in at a 1:10.96.
 
The next day, the women's squad took third place at the Indiana Intercollegiate.
 
Kent earned a seventh place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.66. Additionally, she took tenth in the 100 butterfly at 1:00.08.  Freeman touched just behind at 1:00.18 for 12^th place.
 
Madi Jones clocked in a 1:58.72 in the 200 freestyle for 11^th place and 54.90 in the 100 freestyle for 8^th. Additionally, Gowdy took eighth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.83. Kupfer led the Aces in the 200 IM in 12^th place at a 2:16.19.
 
On the diving side of the competition, junior Courtney Coverdale took seventh place in the 1-Meter with 218.70 points, followed by freshman Alyssa Vonder Haar in 13^th at 141 points. In the 3-Meter, Coverdale took sixth place at 232.25 points, while Vonder Haar earned tenth at 149.85 points.
