EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Following a road win at Indiana State on Wednesday, the University of Evansville women's soccer team returns home to face Missouri State for its final regular season match of the year at Arad McCutchan Stadium on Senior Day at 3 p.m..
In a midweek matchup with Indiana State on Wednesday, the Aces secured their first Missouri Valley Conference victory of the year with a 2-1 triumph over the Sycamores in Terre Haute. Evansville scored first as freshman Jayme-Lee Hunter curled in a corner kick, scoring off the set piece to give the Aces a 1-0 advantage in the seventh minute. Indiana State answered with a goal in the 19th minute, but the Aces secured the win with a goal from 30 yards out by sophomore Mikayla Harvey in the 75th minute.

Saturday's match is Senior Day for the Purple Aces who will honor three seniors prior to kickoff. Nicki Baham, Montana Portenier, and JBess Ruby have combined for 18 goals, 14 assists, 104 starts, and more than 9,300 minutes on the pitch and helped lead the Aces to a MVC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament berth in 2015.
This year's match marks the 22nd all-time meeting between the Aces and Bears with Evansville holding a 14-7-6 advantage. UE is undefeated in the last seven meetings with five of the last seven matchups ending in a draw. MSU's last victory over Evansville came on October 28, 2010 when the Bears earned a 1-0 victory over the Aces in Springfield. Entering the weekend, Missouri State holds a 6-9-1 overall record and a 2-2-1 mark in MVC play.
