Aces set for Senior Night clash with NKU

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team will honor seven seniors Tuesday night as the Aces take on Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. at Arad McCutchan Stadium.

Evansville (8-8-1, 2-4-1 MVC) enters its home finale following a narrow 1-0 loss to Drake at McCutchan Stadium on Saturday evening. The Aces created numerous chances late, but could not equalize the match despite out-shooting 12-3 in the second half.

Prior to Tuesday night's match, the Aces will recognize seven seniors who have made an impact on the program and the university. The seven student-athletes have combined to spend more than 16,000 minutes on the pitch, 29 goals, 12 assists, six wins in goal, and 68 saves. The seven seniors being honored are goalkeeper Matthew Keller, defenders Chris Shuck and Cameron Gilreath, midfielders Arlick Ntabana, Ian McGrath, and Caleb Williams, and forward Cesar Guitunga.

Tuesday's match marks just the third meeting all-time between the Aces and Norse with Evansville holding a 2-0 advantage in the series. Evansville won the last matchup on August 28, 2016 with a 2-0 victory in Highland Heights, Kentucky. NKU enters Tuesday's matchup with a 7-4-4 overall record and with a familiar face roaming the sideline. Norse head coach Stu Riddle was an assistant for the Purple Aces in 2005 and 2006, spending a season with Marshall Ray on the staff in 2006.

The match also coincides with Halloween and Trick-or-Treat with the Aces. The Trick-or-Treat fun will begin when gates to the stadium open at 6 p.m. and run until approximately halftime of the match at 8 p.m.. 10 Aces athletic teams will line the concourse of McCutchan Stadium with decorated tables and candy and will meet and greet with children and fans. Admission is free for Aces fans age 17 and under who come dressed in costume. At halftime, the best costume will be selected as part of the Aces Halloween Costume Contest with the winner receiving an Azzip Pizza gift card.
