University of Evansville freshman goalkeeper Theresa Bagby was chosen today as the Brine/Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.  Bagby made seven saves in Friday's 2-1 win at Indiana State, and six in Sunday's 1-0 win over Missouri State.  Evansville has allowed just one goal in its last five matches.

The 9-2-2 Aces have the nation's 26th best winning percentage, according to NCAA statistics released today. They host defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Drake Thursday at 7:00 at Black Beauty Field.  UE will be attempting to increase its home field unbeaten streak to 11.  The Aces are 9-0-1 at Black Beauty Field since October of 2006.  That is Evansville's longest home unbeaten streak since going 14-0 in 2000 and 2001. However, Drake has won its last five matches against UE, including a 1-0 win over the Aces last November in the finals of the State Farm MVC Tournament. 

UE junior Kayla Lambert is back on top of the league in goals (8) and total points (18) after scoring the lone goal in Sunday's 1-0 win over Missouri State.
