The University of Evansville tennis team will host Belmont University and Morehead State University this weekend at Tri-State Athletic Club.

The Aces are coming off a 2007 season that produced 18 wins tying the school record. The Aces are 3-0 going into this weekend’s matches. Overall, the Aces are 16-2 in singles matches and 6-3 in doubles matches.

Last week, the Aces were able to take a 6-1 victory over Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky. The lone loss came at No. 5 singles. Lisa Kawamoto received MVC Athlete of the Week for her performances at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles.

This weekend’s home matches will be the last for the Aces until after their spring break tournament Mar. 3-7 in Orlando, Fla.

Friday’s match against Belmont and Saturday’s match against Morehead State will both begin at 6 p.m. at Tri-State Athletic Club.
