Several University of Evansville teams are on the road this weekend despite the weather conditions. The University of Evansville tennis team will take to the road to compete against Murray State and Tennessee Tech this weekend.
Last weekend, the Aces had two closes matches that resulted in a 5-2 loss to Belmont and a 4-3 victory over Morehead State at Tri-State Athletic Club. The Aces improved to 22-8 in singles matches this season with six victories in the last two matches.
Kate Chybowski improved to 5-0 at number two singles by defeating Belmont’s Whitnie Warren and MSU’s Madeleinne Antero. Senior Sara Wilhoite had a perfect weekend at number three singles with a win over Belmont’s Tatiana Pozo and a victory over MSU’s Megan Rozboril to clinch the win for the Aces.
The Aces (4-1) will face Murray State Saturday at 2 p.m. and then on to Tennessee Tech for a 10 a.m. match on Sunday.
