Due to the recent winter weather in the Tri-State area and expected rain on Friday, this weekend's University of Evansville baseball series with Radford has been moved due to unplayable field conditions at Charles H. Braun Stadium in Evansville. Now, the Purple Aces and Highlanders will play a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday in Radford, Virginia.
The three-game series will begin Saturday at high noon central time with a single nine-inning game. UE and Radford will then conclude the series with a double-header beginning at 11:00 a.m. central time on Sunday.
Evansville (0-4) will be looking for its first victory of the year after dropping back-to-back decisions to nationally-ranked St. John's (3-1) and Vanderbilt (4-3) this past week. Radford, meanwhile, is 3-1 on the season and hitting a blistering .354 as a team through four games.
Rookie right-hander Matthew Page (0-1, 9.00 ERA) is scheduled to start Saturday's opener, with sophomore RHP Wade Kapteyn (0-1, 3.60 ERA) also expected to record a start for UE.
