CARBONDALE, Ill.—The University of Evansville tennis team dropped its fifth match of the season to the Southern Illinois Salukis on Saturday in Carbondale.

 

The Aces dropped all three doubles matches to the Salukis. Kate Chybowski and Sara Wilhoite were edged by Jessica Flannery and Sabine Tsala Mvilong by a score of 8-6 at number one doubles. Lisa Kawamoto and Riette Kotze dropped their match against Michela Cruise and Martina Viannce Ce at number two, 8-5. At number three, Stephanie Millis and Allie Cox were defeated 8-1.

 

In singles action, Chybowski picked up the Aces’ lone victory of the day at number two singles. The freshman defeated Vianna Ce 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to remain perfect in singles play.

 

The Aces will return to action at Dayton, Ohio on March 29-30. The Aces will play Wright State at 2 p.m. on Saturday and then will face off against Dayton on Sunday at 10 a.m.
