Women's Soccer Team Takes On Buckeyes Friday

The University of Evansville will try to continue its winning streak and Ohio State will try to end its losing streak Friday when the two meet in women's soccer at Columbus. Kickoff is at 6:30 CDT.

Coach Krista McKendree's Aces are 5-1-1 and winners of four straight after defeating Kentucky 1-0 on Tuesday. The four-match win streak is Evansville's longest since the 2001 NCAA Tournament team won six in a row. Ohio State, ranked nationally in some polls at the beginning of the season, is 0-4-2 following Sunday's 4-2 loss at home to 11th ranked Duke.

Evansville seniors Kayla Lambert and Mia Tofano continue to rank one-two in the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring. Lambert has six goals and a pair of assists for 14 points while Tofano has five goals and three assists for 13 points. Tofano scored the lone goal in Tuesday's win over Kentucky. Evansville's defense, including goalkeeper Theresa Bagby and backs Kara Murphy, Katelyn Smith, #Kasey Kutzler" and "Kasey Cartwright#, has produced three shutouts in the last four matches. The Aces have outscored the opposition 8-1 in the four outings this month.
