MOREHEAD, Ky.—The University of Evansville dropped their opening match of the 2009 season to Morehead State at the Wellness Center on Friday night. Morehead State edged the Aces in the match 4-3.
Sophomore Kate Chybowski picked up a win at number one singles over Madeleinne Antero, while teammates Ashton Schwerin and Allie Cox won their singles matches over Megan Rozboril and Lauren Delaney, respectively.
In doubles action, Chybwoski and Pin Sorensen had the Aces’ lone victory with a win over Rozboril and Alexandra Rydberg at number two doubles, defeating the duo 8-5.
The Aces will resume action in Morehead, Ky. at 9 a.m. Saturday morning when they will face Georgetown College.
