Two consecutive shutouts have earned University of Evansville senior Kasey Kutzler (Evansville, Ind./Central) the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award. A four-year starter, Kutzler helped lead the Purple Aces to a 2-0 win over Eastern Illinois and a 1-0 win over Northern Iowa last week from her outside back position. Those were the first back to back shutouts for Evansville since September of last year.

After a 1-5 start this season, the Aces have won three in a row and four of their last five. They play again Saturday at home against Missouri State at 7:00.
