Aces Win Fourth Straight Match

HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The University of Evansville tennis team extended its win streak to four matches with a 6-1 win over Western Carolina on Wednesday afternoon.

The Aces took the doubles point with wins at number one and three. Kate Chybowski and Theadora Kotsiou won their fifth straight doubles match together over Amanda Massey and Ainhoa Iglesias by a score of 8-3. Stephanie Millis and Payal Sharma teamed up to defeat Chelsea Best and Emily Turke at number three, 8-3.

Western Carolina got their one point at number two singles as the Aces took the five remaining singles matches for the eventual win. Pin Sorensen pulled out her seventh straight singles win over Best, 2-6, 6-4, and 11-9. Kotsiou won her sixth straight match in a row over Iglesias at number three. Chybowski, Allie Cox, and Millis all won their respective matches.

The Aces (6-3) will make a stop in Statesboro, Ga. to face Georgia Southern to end their spring break trip.
