Eagles Spoil Aces' Spring Break Finale

STATESBORO, Ga.—The University of Evansville tennis team concluded their spring break trip at Georgia Southern on Friday afternoon. The Eagles took a 5-2 victory over the Aces in Statesboro, Ga.

The Eagles took an early lead taking the doubles point with wins at number two and three doubles. The Aces lone win at double came at number one. Kate Chybowski and Theadora Kotsiou defeated Kristi Kegerreis and Molly Maddox and number one doubles.

Chybowski and Kotsiou had the Aces’ only wins in singles play. Chybowski defeated Kegerreis at number one, 6-3, 6-2, and Kotsiou won over Maddox at number three by a score of 4-6, 6-0, 10-7.

The Aces will return to action on March 21 when they will travel to Butler for a 3 p.m. match.
