EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Rain prevented the University of Evansville tennis team from playing outside on Friday, but the Aces made the best of the situation and defeated Creighton indoors, 5-2, at Tri-State Athletic Club.
The Aces picked up the doubles point, winning at number one and number two doubles. Kate Chybowski and Theadora Kotsiou defeated Tess Reddin and Nicole Nakaoka, 8-6, while Ashton Schwerin and Pin Sorensen defeated Leesa Cadwallader and Sarah Cadwallader, 8-3.
The Aces secured the match with four singles wins to clinch their second conference win. Chybowski defeated Reddin at number one, and Schwerin defeated Lauren Mastro at number two. Kotsiou continued her win streak with a win at number three, and Stephanie Millis picked up a win at number six singles.
The Aces will host Wichita State on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Tri-State Athletic Club.
