EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville tennis team will conclude its regular season on Tuesday as the University of Southern Indiana comes to Carson Center Courts for a 4 p.m. match.
The Aces are coming off of a split over the weekend with Bradley and Illinois State. Earlier in the week, Indiana State slipped past the team with a 4-3 win on Wednesday as the Aces won the doubles point but could not pull out the match. The Aces defeated Bradley, 5-2, on Friday before dropping their senior match on Sunday to Illinois State, 7-0.
Sophomore Kate Chybowski and freshman Theadora Kotsiou went a perfect 3-for-3 in their doubles matches this week defeating Indiana State, Bradley, and Illinois State all at number one doubles. The duo is now 8-2 in their last 10 matches. All of the singles wins during the week came in the Bradley match in which Chybowski, Ashton Schwerin, Kotsiou, and Stephanie Millis won their respective matches.
This will be the final match before the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament this weekend. The sixth-seeded Aces will meet the number three seed Southern Illinois in the first round on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Omaha, Neb.
