EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville tennis team closed out its regular season with a sweep of Southern Indiana on Tuesday at Carson Center Courts, 7-0.

The Aces won all three doubles matches to win the doubles point. Kate Chybowski and Theadora Kotsiou defeated Reilly Ackerman and Michelle Girgenti, 8-4, at number one. Ashton Schwerin and Pin Sorensen won over Gretchen Cantwell and Katie Jo Clagg at number two while Payal Sharma and Stephanie Millis picked up a win over Jennie LaBonte and Emily Schum.

Millis picked up a straight-set win over Schum at number six singles. Chybowski won over Ackerman, 6-1, 6-0 while Schwerin, Kotsiou, Sorensen and Cox all won their respective matches.

The Aces will travel to Omaha, Neb. for the 2009 Missouri Valley Conference Championships on Friday. The Aces will meet Southern Illinois in the first round at 12:30 p.m.
