The University of Evansville women's soccer team has made the top 50 in the Top Drawer Soccer.com pre-season national poll. Coach Krista McKendree's Purple Aces are ranked first in the Missouri Valley Conference and 49th nationally. Evansville is the defending MVC regular season co-champion and MVC Tournament champion. The Purple Aces return five starters from last season's 13-5-2 team that reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in school history.

UE plays its first exhibition match Saturday at home against the University of Kentucky Wildcats at 7:00 CDT, and hosts the University of Southern Indiana on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 7:00.
